Terms of service

• You must be an adult to create an account. Parents may run pages for their children’s things.
• Keep your sign-in secure; you’re responsible for what happens on your page.
• Handles are first-come, first-served. We may reclaim handles that impersonate someone, infringe a trademark, or are held only to resell.

• Use a page or message to harass, threaten, scam, or deceive anyone.
• Post anything illegal, hateful, sexually explicit, or that exposes someone else’s private information.
• Put a sticker on something that isn’t yours, or use codes to lure people to harmful sites.
• Scrape, overload, or try to break the service or its message screening.

Messages are screened automatically and some are held for review, so delivery isn’t instant or guaranteed. Arranging the return of an item is between the owner and the finder. Meet in public places and use common sense; we’re not a party to the handoff and can’t verify anyone’s identity or intentions.

Pro is billed yearly and renews automatically until you cancel from your dashboard. If Pro ends, your page and every printed sticker keep working on the free plan.

You own what you put on your page. You give us permission to host and display it so the service works. We may remove content or pause pages that break these terms.

itbelongsto.me helps people return things, but we can’t promise anything will be found or returned. The service is provided “as is”, and to the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for lost items, missed messages, or indirect losses.

You can stop using the service and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that break these terms. If we ever shut down, we’ll give owners reasonable notice.

We’ll update the date above when these terms change, and tell owners by email about significant changes. Continuing to use the service means you accept the new terms.
