Why ordinary name labels stop working
A name label tells a finder who something belongs to, but not how to reach you. So the water bottle goes into a bin by the gym, and it waits there until someone happens to look — or until the end-of-term donation run.
Writing your phone number on everything fixes that, but it also puts your number (and your child's name) on every item they carry. An itbelongsto.me sticker gives the finder a way to reach you without either.

Does the sticker show my child's name?
No. Pages using the kid-safe Sticker layout never display a name — not the child's and not yours. Finders see "This belongs to a student" and a message button.
Who gets the messages?
You do, as the parent who owns the account. Messages arrive by email, and by push notification if you turn it on. You can reply through the relay without revealing your email or phone number.
Do the stickers survive the dishwasher?
Paper labels from the free print sheet hold up well with a layer of clear packing tape over them. Waterproof, dishwasher-safe vinyl packs are coming soon.
Do I need a different code for each child?
